Polar Bear climbing the snow NORWAY A COMICAL pic shows a polar bear blowing the mightiest of raspberries you are likely to see this far north. The massive six-foot bear weighing around 660-1763 lb was caught with his tongue out while quenching his thirst in a stream of water with an over-friendly seagull. These images were captured at a distance of 330 feet in Svalbard, Norway, by Indian wildlife photographer Prateek Shroff from a zodiac inflatable boat. He spotted the polar bear at 10 p.m. during the 24-hour sunlight the Arctic Circle experiences. Shroff used a Canon R3 camera with an RF 600mm f4 lens and a 1.4x extender over a period of two days to capture these magical shots. ?As we got closer, the excitement level amongst the group was very high, given this would be the first time I would see a polar bear, ? he said. ?Experiencing a predator of this nature for the first time in my life was truly an incredible experience. The first few moments you spot an animal of this nature take your breath away and are simply exhilarating. ?It was endearing to see the three bears take turns eating the carcass and taking naps in the snow. ?The manner in which they let each other eat respectfully was also very interesting - considering bears are solitary creatures.?
