A rally was held on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day at the NSW Supreme Court in Sydney to demand self-determination for First Nations people and justice for all victims of racial violence. Grandmothers Against Removals Sydney collaborated with Dylan Voller roughly one year on from when he came to national attention after being shown in a Four Corners TV current affairs program tied to a chair with a spit mask over his face. Voller's treatment at the youth detention centre prompted the Prime Minister to order a Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory. The protest demanded ‘Justice for Aboriginal Children and Youth’. After several speakers outside the NSW Supreme Court protesters marched along Macquarie Street. They stopped at the intersection with Bent Street blocking the road before continuing to march all the way past security to the steps of the Opera House.
