A drunken Chinese man mistook a container to be shipped to the United States for his dorm room and had himself locked inside on Friday (9 August 2013) in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao. The man, surnamed Jiang, got drunk early Friday morning. He walked into a container at a terminal at around 4:00am and slept inside for hours. He was wakened by noise and shaking at 7:20 when the container was loaded before being shipped to the US. He then used this mobile phone to call police and his workmates for help. More than 40 police officers and over 60 terminal workers were sent out to look for Mr. Jiang as he could not tell, in which container he was nor where it was placed. Finally he found the serial number of the container and knocked on the wall to make noise to help police to locate it and rescue him. The container along with others were ordered by an American company and were be shipped to the United States on Saturday, according to workers.
