Chinese property heavyweights Evergrande Real Estate Group Co., China Vanke Co. and Greentown Real Estate Group Co. are among some 14 firms bidding to build the sports village for the 2022 Asian Games, also known as Asiad, to be held in Hangzhou, capital of eastern Zhejiang province. Other bidders include Hangzhou Binjiang Real Estate Group Co. and Poly Real Estate Group Co., building industry news site China JSB reported, adding that the application documents weighed one ton. Construction firms have had since February to bid for the contract which includes living quarters for athletes, technical officials, and media personnel. The Asian Games Organizing Committee will organize an expert panel next month to assess the winner.
