China Southern Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350. The widebody, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines, will initially be operated by the carrier on domestic routes, such as those from Guangzhou to Beijing and Shanghai. International deployments will follow later. The carrier has a total of 20 A350-900s on order. The new aircraft will feature 28 seats in business class laid out in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration, 24 seats in premium economy in a 2-4-2 layout, and 262 economy seats, as can be seen from its official seat map.
