Cw 5056 68022 passes Balshaw Lane 14.11.17. Direct Rail Services diesel locomotive 68022 named “Resolution” travelling up the West Coast Main Line slow lines between Leyland and Euxton Balshaw Lane station on the 5.11.17. The train it is hauling is the 14.14 training run from Preston to Crewe and locomotive 68020 “Reliance” was on the rear of the 5 coach train. The service, which was not a public passenger service, ran between Crewe and Preston and return twice a day during the week commencing 13.11.17. The service was run in connection with TransPennine Express trains crews being trained on these locomotives for future cross Pennine services. These trains are planned to run for the week of the 13th to 17th of November and they are making two return trips each day.
