The Heteractis aurora, or Beaded Sea Anemone is distributed around the Red Sea, India, Melanesia and Polynesia. There are about seven species of anemonefish that are associated with this particular anemone. This species has been recorded as large as one third of a meter in diameter. The tentacles appear to have bulbs or swells at various intervals.
