The image is of association with Thomas Edward Lawrence better known as Lawrence of Arabia, Oxford University Scholar, born at Tremadoc in 1888 he would lead the Arab revolt uniting the feuding Arab tribes again the Ottoman Garrison during WWI notably at Wadi Rum and Aquaba. All made famous in the David Lean film Lawrence of Arabia. He would write the book Seven Pillars of Wisdom based on his experiences. After the war he sought obscurity, he died 19 May 1935 riding his Brough Superior motor cycle near Bovington Camp reported to avoid to young boys though the boys said he swerved to avoid a black car driving at speed. Of the truth we don't know but controversy lives on.
