BMW Motorrad is a subsidiary of the BMW Group engaged in the production of motorcycles. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was an aircraft engine manufacturer and it was through World War I that the first BMW motorcycle, called R32, appeared in 1923. Over 89 years of constant evolution, the Bavarian brand has invested in the technological advancement of its motorcycles and, currently, BMW produces models for different types of motorcyclists. These icons of modern engineering on two wheels are divided into five categories: Roadster, Sport, Tour, Enduro and Urban Mobility. The BMW Museum is an automobile museum of BMW history located near the Olympiapark in Munich, Germany. The museum was founded in 1973, shortly after the opening of the Summer Olympics. From 2004 to 2008, it was renovated in connection with the construction of the BMW Welt, directly opposite. The museum reopened on June 21, 2008. At the moment, the exhibition space is 5, 000 square meters.
