Somerset is a county in the South West of England sharing borders with Devon and Bristol to the north, Wiltshire to the east, Dorset to the south east and Devon to the southwest. Its northern coastline meets the Bristol Channel and the estuary of the River Severn, its county town being Taunton. Somerset is a county of rolling hills such as the Mendip Hills, Quantock Hills, Exmoor National Park and large expanses of land including the Somerset Levels.
