The stone of the sun, which today is in the MNAH of Mexico City, was found on December 17, 1790 in the Plaza de Armas of Mexico City, on the occasion of the works ordered by the Count of Revillagigedo, it was moved and embedded in the west tower of the cathedral. The Stone of the Sun is the most studied monument throughout more than two centuries of having been found. In the ionography six levels or rings have been identified, I. is a face with a tongue in the shape of a flint knife. II. Nahui Ollin, four movements of the fifth sun, here you see 4 jaguar, first sun; 4 wind, second sun; 4 rain, third sun; 4 water, fourth sun. The third level shows the twenty days of the Aztec calendar. in Level IV the solar rays are represented. Level V Sacred Barbed Points and at level VI are the fire serpents, Xiuhcoatls.
