In this incredibly detailed replica of a small Peak District village, everything is edible, from the baubles on the Christmas trees to the flowers around the houses and whatÕs more the ÒvillageÓ is made from 35 individual rich fruit Christmas cakes which will be eaten on the 25th! The amazing model village is made up of 18 shops and houses, which are all realistic reproductions of the actual buildings found in Youlgreave, and is open to the public to view at All SaintsÕ church, the main focal point of the miniature masterpiece. Retired florist Lynn Nolan, who decorated all the cakes, came up with the original idea as a way of raising money for the church, which needs a new roof, and the first of the cakes went in the oven back in April.
